This is a New Website Under Construction
I was interested in Design and Manufacturing at a young age, in 1990 I was part of the initial intake for the UK's very first Specialist Technical School and have continued on that path ever since.
I have hands on directorships in three other companies, all of them are marine based.
The First one we started 14 years ago now and we design and build high speed displacement catamarans, 2017 saw us launch the worlds first fully classified Hydrogen duel fuel passenger ferry, where we use Hydrogen to dynamically displace diesel by up to 90 percent during operation.
The Second one converts ex commercial barges into luxury floating homes, this involves all aspects from initial design, undertaking shortening, major structural steelwork as well as full internal fit-out.
The third one specialises in Commercial RIB's built to Lloyds special service craft for the military, dive and survey sectors.
All three deliver a high quality product to the customer.
Motorcycles are a big part of my life, mainly Rally and Adventure riding. This is an area that I want to expand my business interests into and one of the main reasons that myself and Lee have set up this new company.
I am looking forward to these new projects and more exciting challenges.
As a teenager I enjoyed stripping down old lawn mower and motorcycle engines, they often never ran again. This gave me my interest in simple practical design.
I spent my early working years as a sheet metal worker welder. Also, a little later spending time setting and operating CNC folding and punching machines. I became more office based as a NC programmer using AutoCAD (version 10 before MS Windows) to draw sheet metal flat patterns for machining.
The last 22 years have been spent as a senior design draughtsman working for a large multinational company specialising in noise control. My area of expertise is industrial noise control and anechoic automotive test facilities.
I have worked with and have installations in most of the European vehicle manufacturers and a hand full in China & India.
My design intention is to always keep it simple and think of how the product will be manufactured and installed I often start with ‘how would I make it’. Through my involvement in larger turnkey test facilities I have gained a good comprehension of structural steel and civil groundworks schemes.
Autodesk products are my choice of CAD software namely Inventor for 3d modelling plus AutoCAD for general 2d work.
And now it’s time for something completely different.
I like a challenge and look forward to designing new amazing products with Ben.
